On Friday Joel had his preschool graduation. It was a pretty special event and he was very excited about singing all the songs and wearing the cap and gown. All the kids were decked out in fancy dresses and ties.
As per usual, the event was chaotic, but I was able to get passed it and enjoy myself. I played Pomp and Circumstance for the processional and helped hand out the medals to the kids.
Kezia's class sang first and she did so well; Carl repeated over and over that he really wanted to hear Kezia sing and see her do the actions. And she stepped up and made her parents proud!
Joel's class did a number of different songs as well as an Armenian folk dance. It was cool to see what they had been practicing for weeks. He sang his little heart out. Later, each of the kids was presented with a laminated scrapbook of samples of their work throughout the year. That was pretty special to receive that; something to tuck away for the kids to remember of their first year of school.

It was a bit hard for us to say goodbye to the kids' teachers. Especially Kezia's....Corina has been such an amazing influence on Kezia. And for Joel, he has made great friends at the school and learned so much. We're very proud of Joel. He had a great year at preschool and is already looking forward to starting kindergarten.
p.s. I'll try and post the video of the kids singing....it is really priceless!
