On Saturday morning we arose and had a great breakfast at the hotel. We packed up our things and headed out for Fresno. We were thankful that God had protected us over the last 2000 miles and were excited as we were nearing the end of our journey. As we drove closer to Fresno, Carl pointed out the hills on either side of us, though 90% of the time they are hidden by smog. It also was neat to see so many palm trees around. We stopped for a bite to eat and I had a hard time getting back into the vehicle. I think I had hit my travel wall and was done with driving. Only one more hour to go, only one more hour to go...

We pulled up to campus around 1:30 p.m. and were greeted by a number of the residents of Mission Memorial Court. They were very friendly and excited that we had arrived. Right away everyone offered to help unload the trailer. I sat and fed Asha on the chair in our new place as people brought our things in. They were done in less than 15 minutes and it was a huge help. One of the other families offered to take Joel and Kezia to their apartment for the afternoon so that Carl and I could do some unpacking. As I looked in the fridge, I noticed that our next door neighbour, Alisa, had put in a few essentials to help us out. I was really overwhelmed by the love and care by these people that we just met.
We had a potluck supper with the other residents of the Court. Everyone introduced themselves we and worked out laundry schedule as well as other announcements. Joel and Kezia were so tired that they both spilled their drinks on the table.
That night as we settled in bed, we had peace and knew that we were where we were suppose to be. It's awesome to have that reassurance, especially after all that we've gone through to get here.
