Global Community Dinner

On Saturday we had our Global Community Dinner here at the seminary and Carl was the Emcee. This time we all had some sort of ethnic garb to wear. Kezia and Asha wore their Mexican dresses that we got them in Tijuana. I thought I would put in a picture of Joel in his Mexican soccer garb, but he chose to wear his kimono that the Tanaka family gave him (Kezia and I got one too). Lily, our neighbour, and I both wore the kimono's that were given to us.
.

The food was great. My favourite dish was the tofu curry that Megan made. And for dessert, it was a hard decision whether the nanaimo bars that Maddie made or the Porztelky that Carl made were my favourite, so I had a few of each!

The program was short and sweet, with a few jokes from different cultures, and the Emcee was so dreamy....

It was a good night to celebrate different cultures and eat some great food.

Porztelky are those New Year's cookies. Really they are those cute deep fried raisin buns. I hope you've had them before!
