Asha is 8 Months

Asha was 8 months old yesterday, and boy was it a busy month!
She learned how to pull herself up to a standing position and is quite proud that she reach even more things and peek out of her playpen. She loves to click her tongue and does it almost hourly. Her crawl has become perfected and she has two speeds. Normal, using both knees and supersonic fast, using a knee and a one foot shuffle.

Asha is 27.5 inches tall and she weighs 18 pounds.

She embraced so many new foods and now loves to eat. Some things that she had this month were:

bread
ICE CREAM from Grandma
potatoes
peaches
tortillas
pinto beans
mangoes
pears
pears
Spanish rice
Cheerios
blueberries
apricots
grapes
avocado
broccoli
tomatoes
noodles
FRENCH FRIES from her mother
CHOCOLATE at Easter
ORANGES from the tree next door
.

Asha had lots of company this month and had many new experiences. She traveled to San Diego, Tijuana, San Francisco twice, went to the beach to play in the sand, and sat in the snow at Sequoia Park. She went to Sea World and to Monterey Beach Aquarium. She also had her first experience in an outdoor pool and wasn't that thrilled.

Asha has a great time sticking her tongue across her two little teeth and looks like she can almost wave bye-bye. She has definitely become more of a smiley girl, she doesn't give her scowl as often. One of her favourite activities is crawling on top of us and blowing raspberries on any available flesh! And then she chuckles and snorts when we laugh. It's been another great month with Asha.

We love you little Ashita!
